Jake Moss, 22, was tragically killed in the car he was driving, when it collided with a lorry on the A26 at Eridge on 5th October 2008.

His death rocked the communities in Crowborough and Maldon, Essex where Jake grew up as a proud Essex Boy. Hundreds of tributes poured in from all over the country

The former Beacon Community College pupil worked at Thales UK Ltd in Crawley for four years and spent 18 months at Cubic Engineering in Tunbridge Wells, before becoming a computer aided design technician at Faithorn Farrell Timms in Eastbourne in August 2008.

He moved from Maldon in Essex to Crowborough in 2001.

He attended Sandon School before moving to the Crowborough college for his final school year.

A fan of the Rolling Stones and the Kings of Leon among a host of other bands, Jake often went to gigs and music festivals with friends.

One of his closest friends Adam Short said of him: "Jake was a larger than life character, who was always smiling and was an amazing friend to everyone that was lucky enough to know him."

Jake's father Keith Moss and mother Tracy Parker said: "He will be sorely missed by all that knew him and the hole he leaves can never be filled.

"Jake was a colourful character who enjoyed life to the full with his large circle of close friends. He had a particular passion for music festivals and concerts."

Jake was as a keen footballer, who played Saturday and Sunday sides with Jarvis Brook FC.

He was known throughout the football leagues, and was "respected for his passion for the game".
